The Head of Total Rewards will play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits strategies across our global workforce. This individual will work closely with HR leadership, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure that our compensation and benefits programs are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives. The role will also be responsible for analyzing compensation data, managing annual salary reviews, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in each region where we operate.

  • Develop and implement global compensation strategies that align with business goals, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of salary structures, bonus programs, and incentive plans for global teams.
  • Analyze market data to ensure competitiveness and recommend adjustments to pay practices to retain and attract top talent.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of internal pay equity analysis and ensure consistent application of compensation guidelines globally.

Benefits Program Management

  • Manage the global benefits program, including health, wellness, retirement, life insurance, and other employee perks.
  • Collaborate with HR team to ensure benefits offerings are competitive and culturally relevant across different regions.
  • Conduct regular benefit program reviews, benchmark programs, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with global benefits regulations and trends in each operating region.

Compensation & Benefits Analytics

  • Use data and analytics to drive decisions on compensation and benefits strategies.
  • Oversee the annual salary review process, including data analysis, budgeting, and communication of salary increases.
  • Prepare compensation and benefits reporting for senior leadership, including trends, costs, and compliance updates.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs.

Global Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure that all compensation and benefits practices comply with local, regional, and international laws and regulations. (if applicable – Canadians and US)
  • Stay up to date on changing laws and best practices regarding compensation, benefits, and taxation across different regions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external legal teams to ensure compliance with global labor laws.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Partner with senior HR leaders to understand organizational objectives and recommend compensation and benefits strategies that support overall business goals.
  • Lead compensation and benefits-related communication initiatives to ensure clear understanding among employees.

Advise management and HR team on complex compensation and benefits issues and best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum experience requirements :

  • 7+ years in compensation and benefits
  • 3+ years in a managerial role
  • Experience with program design, administration, and compliance
  • Experience managing compensation surveys and C&B software

Preferred Experience

  • 10+ years in total rewards, including global exposure
  • Experience managing outsourced providers
  • Involvement in strategic planning and budgeting

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
