The Global Director, Engagement and Talent (DET) w ill lead Woodbridge’s approach to global teammate engagement and talent management. This opportunity will appeal to a proactive, high-energy, collaborative individual who thrives in a global manufacturing and innovative environment. They will see the benefit of integrating Woodbridge’s values, behaviors and mindset into key talent management practices and engagement programs as a driver for a common vision and culture.

As a business partner, the DET will work globally with the broader HR team, business units’ leadership team and various stakeholders at all levels throughout the organization, bringing thought leadership to the development and execution of our teammate engagement programs including internal communications, talent management and performance & recognition.

What You Will Be Doing

Engagement and Talent leadership includes the leading the design, development and execution of the following programs, processes, systems, and resources aimed at developing, engaging and retaining talent:

  • Performance Management
  • Career pathing and development
  • Leadership Development
  • Teammate Engagement Surveys and feedback stream
  • Critical Role - Succession Planning
  • Leverage your expertise in talent pipeline development, career path framework and talent development while reinforcing Woodbridge’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Identify and eliminate barriers to achieving high performance and engagement and support the transformation of structures, leadership practices, and systems that support our “One Winning Team” culture.
  • Lead Woodbridge’s global Teammate Engagement Survey in over 46 sites in 9 countries, including our joint ventures, providing recommendations around continuous improvement and enhancements.
  • Oversee the capital management system, Success Factors, both as a member of the senior HR leadership team and as the lead for the Performance Management Program (PMP). Oversee PMP methodology and educated leaders and Teammates on optimizing the process.
  • Lead the talent management process from end-to-end and prioritize the enhancement of the leadership bench strength.
  • Augment current recognition programs as a suite, where leaders can support engagement programs by using recognition tools and behaviors.
  • Generate Teammate targeted learning plans through consolidation of total company capability assessment reviews and other learning needs analysis.
  • Identify best practices for teammate/leader/executive training assessment needs to determine new program development including blended learning, instructor-led and computer-based training.
  • Implement and routinely improve upon formal learning programs and processes for the development of leaders across the organization.
  • Identify best practices for a Learning Management and Human Capital Systems for learning and leadership.
  • Enhance Leadership and Individual Contributor competencies and eliminate barriers to achieving high performance and engagement.
  • Ensure Woodbridge continues to differentiate itself as an Employer of Choice, through the identification of Employee Value Proposition (EVP), in its efforts to attract and retain the caliber of talent needed to achieve our business objectives.

Internal Communications leadership includes the leading the design, development and execution of the company’s internal communication global strategies, and employer branding. Its leadership is instrumental in sharing, promoting, and communicating Woodbridge culture and values.

  • Internal Communication - Lead global internal communications strategy, based on the company’s business and employer brand strategies
  • Corporate Community, Social Impact Culture - Partnering with Woodbridge Cares and manage the continued brand development of the Woodbridge global community program to ensure consistency and effectively strengthen brand and engagement.
  • Employer Brand and Marketing - Employ industry best practices for employer branding and recruitment marketing

About You

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including previous experience leading Engagement, Organizational Effectiveness, Communication and Talent Functions.
  • Strong understanding and experience in a matrixed global organization.
  • Broad understanding of all HR disciplines including best-in-class HR programs and practices: Talent Management, Succession Planning, Teammate Engagement, Recognition, Workforce planning, Organizational Development, Internal Communications, Performance Management, Training (rollouts), Change Management and Data Management and Analytics.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate and present a human resource perspective to senior leadership.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.
