Job summary

Thomson Reuters, a leader in trusted information, seeks a Director to drive AI transformation within the Global Westlaw Engineering organization. You will steer a global team of engineering managers, senior engineers, and vendor partners, owning the multi-year AI strategy and aligning it with the product delivery roadmap.

You will remain hands-on, set clear metrics, and guide teams through mission-based ownership and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years in software development, including 3+ years leading AI solution development, and 10+ years managing managers and building teams.
• Experience leading managers and vendor teams with scope, cost, and quality responsibility.
• Track record shipping AI in production (LLM, RAG, or agent workflows).
• Cloud, DevOps, and reliability with AWS and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global organization of managers, senior engineers, and vendor partners.
• Own AI engineering strategy aligned with the product roadmap and milestones.
• Transform to mission-based operating model with long-lived teams.
• Define and track metrics for reliability, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Drive AI lifecycle end-to-end from retrieval to deployment and monitoring.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders to shape product strategy.
