What You Will Do

A Data Scientist at Goodway Group is at the center of the drive for a data-informed culture. We create models using data from the billions of ad impressions served daily across hundreds of advertisers. We productionalize models with Python, Airflow, and Kubernetes. We test models statistically rigorous AB-tests that impact thousands of advertising campaigns. We work closely with product managers, engineers, and analysts to elevate the use of data at Goodway Group.

  • Design, build and deploy models that optimize the performance of advertising campaigns.
  • Work with stakeholdersfromacross the business to gather, understand, and developactionableuse cases for datascience products.
  • Combine data expertise and domain knowledge to elevate and maximize the use of data at the organization.
  • Perform analysis thatgenerateactionable insights andconstructdata narratives that convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be constantly learning the latest technologies and trends.
  • Provide expertise and leadership on making technical decisions

Who You Are

The ideal candidate has multiple years of hands-on experience with modeling and statistical analysis, as well as exposure to the digital marketing and advertising space. You work in Python, know SQL, and have a familiarity with engineering tools like Airflow and AWS. Most importantly you’re curious and have a desire to drive impact with your work.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, math, statistics or another quantitative field
  • Adept with Python and exposure to modern software development practices like version control with GitHub
  • Knowledge of statistics and modeling best practices
  • Experience with digital advertising and marketing
  • Excellent at communicating complex ideas and can convey ideas accurately and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Curious and eagerto learn new paradigms, tools, and processes; can do so quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, work environment
  • Independent and able to responsibly work from home
