Job description
Overview

In this role you will be responsible for the architecture of all technologies in the client technologies domain. This includes all technologies in the client domain including traditional office (Windows, MAC, Linux) clients, mobile devices, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT, Linux) devices. Responsible for developing secure, reusable, interoperable, and repeatable client architecture. You will collaborate with the architectural community of practice on development of the overall enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Overall architect owning architecture of all technologies in the area including how they work together and with technologies in other areas/domains.
  • Work with lead engineers to implement new solutions (design and initial implementation phases). After deployment, reviews major technical changes (changes to architecture, new feature implementation, etc.) to ensure alignment with architecture strategy.
  • Participate in Infrastructure Architecture team (Represent architectural needs, concerns, and issues related to the Client area)
  • Review Client solution components of proposed architecture as part of Infrastructure Architecture board (Provide technology guidance to solution architects, represent Client area standards, bring concerns to Client product domain to address as necessary)
  • Investigate industry trends and new technologies in area, socialize with architect community, IT operations director, and product domain owner on future state.
  • Evaluate and select new/replacement technologies, work on area future state architecture.
  • Collaborates with Product Domain Owner on architectural elements of Client technologies.
  • Maintain area technology portfolio (EA tool, SNOW, etc.) and contribute to the overall infrastructure foundation.
  • Work with lead engineers on architectural documentation and reusable technical patterns.
  • Work with all area technology architects on cross domain solutions and overall ecosystem.
  • Guide / lead technical elements of all solutions in responsible area to ensure alignment with strategy and goals of the overall enterprise. (Does not micro-manage the technologies but steers the technical direction and ensures ongoing architecture alignment).
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field
  • Fluent in English
  • Client technical certifications or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Extended experience in an architect or senior engineer role designing complex client solutions
  • EA related certifications (e.g. Open Group), Client related technical certifications (Microsoft), ITIL

This role will include willingness to travel internationally and availability to take some of the meetings to align with stakeholders from different geographical regions.
