Job summary

Reworld Waste in Canada seeks a Senior Global Commodity Manager – Chemicals Reagents to lead enterprise-wide strategy and supplier partnerships across plants and facilities.

You will manage a portfolio including lime, ammonia, urea, water treatment chemicals, and related products, driving cost optimization, quality, and supply reliability.

This senior role collaborates across Operations, Engineering, Environmental, Safety, Finance, Legal, and Logistics, with travel up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic sourcing within the chemical industry or with a strong chemistry/engineering background plus procurement exposure.
• Proven ability to develop and execute category or commodity strategies.
• Track record of managing strategic suppliers and improving supplier performance.
• Experience leading competitive sourcing events and negotiating complex supply agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide commodity strategies for chemicals and reagents.
• Lead the complete sourcing process from market analysis to contract implementation and savings tracking.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with key chemical and reagent suppliers.
• Lead supplier business reviews, scorecards, escalations, and joint improvement plans.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, product standardization, and total-cost improvement.
• Balance enterprise strategies with site-specific requirements; collaborate across functions.
• Travel up to 30% to operating facilities and supplier locations as needed.
