Job description

Our client is a global leader in pharmaceutical innovation, education, and personalized wellness solutions. As we accelerate our growth and expand into new markets, we are seeking a Global Brand & Communications Manager to own, scale, and lead the company's brand strategy, corporate communications, and executive thought leadership on a global level.

This role will define and amplify brand authority, corporate voice, and market influence, ensuring alignment with business priorities, strategic partnerships, and industry positioning. Leading a team of writers and creative professionals, this individual will drive a unified, high-impact narrative that strengthens the client's reputation, deepens engagement, and drives commercial success.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications leader with a required science background (medical writing, pharmaceutical, life sciences) and a proven ability to translate complex scientific and business concepts into compelling storytelling. They will work closely with executives, commercial teams, and marketing stakeholders to elevate the brand presence, shape industry conversations, and drive communications that accelerate global growth and leadership.

The role is hybrid in Montreal, Quebec.

The opportunity

Corporate & Leadership Communications

  • Develop and scale global communication strategies aligned with company vision and values.
  • Create executive communications, including speeches, interviews, and media engagements.
  • Manage crisis and reputation communications, ensuring credibility and trust.
  • Lead internal communications and employer branding initiatives in partnership with People & Culture.
  • Drive internal storytelling and executive visibility, preserving the founder’s legacy and strengthening leadership presence across the organization.
  • Support global award submissions, panel discussions, and speaker engagements.
  • Support media relations and industry partnerships in collaboration with Public Affairs team.

Brand, Content & Digital

  • Drive global brand consistency through a unified brand voice, editorial guidelines, and storytelling frameworks across all regions and platforms.
  • Oversee the creation of high-impact content for campaigns, digital channels, and customer education, ensuring strategic and engaging messaging across digital, social, video, and print.
  • Lead social media strategy, community engagement, and brand reputation to enhance global reach and influence.
  • Develop a scalable annual communications calendar, integrating product launches, PR, events, and campaigns to maintain a steady flow of content across all channels and global markets.
  • Liaise with Trade Shows & Events to ensure brand consistency and executive visibility at global events.
  • Develop and execute communications strategies for market expansion, joint ventures, acquisitions, and partnerships, ensuring brand positioning is consistent, compelling, and globally aligned.
  • Support the development of global sales enablement content, including pitch presentations and sales materials to strengthen positioning.
  • Oversee partner marketing and co-branding initiatives, ensuring strategic alliances and partnerships are reinforced through compelling messaging and joint PR efforts.

Scientific & Product Communications

  • Own science-based storytelling, ensuring complex pharmaceutical, regulatory, and compounding concepts are communicated effectively.
  • Oversee development of customer education materials, compliance messaging, and technical content.
  • Ensure all product and marketing communications meet regulatory and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in, Communications, Life Science, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) of experience in corporate communications, brand strategy, public relations, and marketing communications. A focus on highly regulated industries is an asset.
  • Ten (10+) years of leadership experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing communications, content and creative teams.
  • Strong science background is an asset
  • Experience developing and executing global brand positioning strategies that scale across multiple markets and business functions.
  • Ability to develop executive communications such as speeches, interviews, and thought leadership content for senior leadership.
  • Track record of executing high-impact comms strategies across digital, social, and traditional channels.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence executives, lead teams, and key stakeholders at a global level.
  • Experience managing crisis communications, reputation management, and executive visibility initiatives.
  • Proven success in partner marketing, joint branding, and external relations, including PR, media engagement, and industry events.
  • Experience in social media strategy, brand reputation monitoring, and thought leadership campaigns.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS), PR platforms, and digital marketing tools is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities, lead global initiatives, and work cross-functionally.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience measuring and optimizing communications effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent French and English (oral & written) required. English is required as this position will interact and present to the global team.
