Job summary

Multimatic in Vaughan, Canada, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure materials and services meet customer, engineering, quality and production requirements. You will work with suppliers, QA, engineering, and production to prevent issues, support new product launches, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.

The role requires PPAP, APQP, root cause analysis, 8D, and supplier audits; travel to supplier sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline is required.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and GD&T is preferred.
• Experience conducting supplier audits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the quality performance of suppliers.
• Prepare monthly supplier performance reporting.
• Respond to supplier issues and drive containment and corrective actions.
• Lead supplier audits and PPAP submissions.
• Support APQP activities with suppliers and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Identify supplier quality risks and develop action plans.
• Travel to supplier locations as required.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-of-poor-quality reduction initiatives.
