Glazing/Curtain Wall Drafter

Responsibilities

1. Consult and coordinate with peers to design, layout, approval of drawings, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
2. Design and develop detailed drawings of glazing systems for architectural approval, shop fabrication & field installation, using AutoCAD.
3. Provide complete package of fabrication drawings for windows and bills of materials, as required.
4. Create custom designs and/or specifications as required for architectural proposals.
5. Able to follow and understand engineering sketches and instructions, incorporating those into designs.
6. Maintain organization within the existing drawing database.
7. Review and analyze sketches, drawings, specifications, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting designs, fabrication or construction procedures.
8. Revise and modify designs to correct deficiencies or incorporate instructions and comments onto drawings.

1. Graduate of an architectural program.
2. Able to work independently and in a team environment.
3. Mathematical skills.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. PC skills in AutoCAD and MS Office.
6. Must be organized and self-motivated.
7. Time management skills.
