Job description

Job Title: Glazier

Work Environment:

• At heights
• Cold/refrigerated
• Unsafe
• Warm
• Outdoors

Work Setting: On-site client service, Commercial, Retail service as well as repair company

Responsibilities:

1. Determine kind of glass, structures and material needed
2. Step, mark and cut glass
3. Set and secure panes in frame
4. Install and set up premade glass, mirrors or glass products
5. Mount door, window and other hardware
6. Repair glass doors and other glass structures
7. Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
8. Read and translate plans, maps, illustrations and requirements
9. Operate at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
10. Specialize in secured systems, structure construction and installation, curtain walls, aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, and commercial window systems
11. Ensure safety and security

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Own vehicle
• Physically capable of handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods
