Job summary

Terrapex, a Canadian environmental consulting firm with offices in Toronto, seeks a Manager, GIS & Data Management to lead GIS, CAD and data work across Ontario.

This leadership role oversees the collection, management, analysis, and presentation of spatial data, supporting environmental, geotechnical, and hydrogeological projects. Strong GIS expertise and team leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive GIS/data management experience.
• Leadership or supervision of technical teams is a strong asset.
• Strong GIS principles, spatial data collection and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and technical oversight to the GIS & Data Management team.
• Establish and improve procedures, standards, templates, and tools for GIS, CAD, and data management.
• Develop and manage databases, applications, and digital systems including Datanest and TabLogs.
• Oversee GIS hardware, software, licensing, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Manage workload, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for GIS services.
• Monitor efficiency and pursue process improvements and automation.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
