Job summary

Mosaic on Vancouver Island is seeking a GIS Analyst to join our land solutions team. The role covers spatial analyses, data integration, map production, and workflow automation across forestry, water, real estate, and carbon projects.

You will collaborate with planners, foresters, and project teams, leveraging ArcGIS Pro/Online/Enterprise, Python, ModelBuilder, and FME to deliver actionable insights and high-quality spatial data products. This is a full-time position based in BC.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Forestry, Environmental Science or related field.
Minimum 3+ years of GIS analysis, data management, and cartographic production.
Solid GIS data QC and data quality control across multiple sources.
Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Suite: Pro, Online, Enterprise.

Responsibilities

Conduct spatial analyses to support planning and land management decisions; terrain modelling and suitability assessment.
Integrate and QC spatial data from multiple sources; ensure data quality and consistency.
Produce maps, map series, and web maps for field crews and regulatory submissions.
Automate GIS workflows using Python, ModelBuilder, and FME; improve data pipelines.
Collaborate with planners, foresters, and project teams to translate results into actionable insights.
