We are seeking a GIS Analyst to join our Digital & Project Services team (office-hybrid-remote opportunities available in Canada).

The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows.

  • Creating and editing spatial data and mapping products and performing geospatial analyses in support of our service lines and key areas of work

  • Supporting regulatory approval and compliance across a variety of sectors

  • Generating, editing, and maintaining relational geospatial databases

  • Assist in updating and maintaining mapping standards and work processes

  • Supporting the creation and editing of mapping products in the AutoCAD environment (workload dependent)

  • At times, supporting field activities as a field second (workload dependent)

What We Are Looking For

  • Possess an undergraduate degree in a related discipline or technical diploma

  • 1-7 years of experience in a similar role

  • Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software suite and extensions

  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro

  • An ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, regulations, drawings and job specifications

  • Have a keen eye for cartographic design and the capability to produce high quality cartographic products

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to work well in a team atmosphere

Experience in the following would be considered an asset:

  • Setting up ESRI Field Maps and Survey 123 data collection services

  • ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases

  • ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal) / Online

  • FME or ESRI model builder

  • Acquiring or processing UAV imagery

  • Working on pipeline projects

  • AutoCAD Map or Civil 3D

  • GIS Programming experience using technology such as Python, JavaScript, C#, SQL, and related skills

  • Field experience (along with applicable certifications)

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Experience in project planning and coordination
