Gift Shop Sales Associate Jasper AB Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge

Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a seasonal Gift Shop Sales Associate at our lodge in the Canadian Rockies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with purchases, and maintaining the appearance of the gift shop.

Pay: $17 an hour
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Jasper, AB
Season: Positions starting May 7, 2025, until October 14, 2025.
Note: We do not have any LMIA spots available at this time for international applicants.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and assist customers in the gift shop.
2. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
3. Provide information about products and services.
4. Process sales transactions and handle cash and credit card payments, including returns of merchandise.
5. Stock and display merchandise under the direction of the manager.
6. Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
7. Cross-sell and cross-promote hotel and restaurant products and services.

Requirements:

1. Strong customer service skills.
2. Experience in retail sales is an asset.
3. Hands-on experience with POS transactions.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
7. Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25lbs.

Compensation:
Wage: $17/hr plus commissions (varies from 2% - 5%). Staff accommodation is available for employees over the age of 18 at $4.41 per day. Bonus: If contract is completed, you will receive a bonus that will cover the cost of your rent. Referral Bonus: $500 if both yours and your referral’s contracts are completed.
