Qualifications

  • Surgical Technician Certification required.
  • Knowledge of care and safe handling of endoscopes.

Responsibilities

  • Assists provider/team in the care of patients undergoing GI procedures.
  • Maintains vigilance at all times regarding surgical techniques.

Job description

Schedule: Part-Time 30hrs; Day Shift, Monday-Friday; 8 and 10 hour days with variable start times starting at 6:30am-9am

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Surgical Technician Certification required - ARC/STSA
  • Accredited Surgical Technology Program
  • NBSTSA Certification conferred by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
  • Current experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery setting
  • Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
  • Knowledge of septic and aseptic technique, maintaining vigilance at all times
  • Knowledge of care and safe handling of endoscopes
  • Sensitivity to patient/family rights, cultural/religious beliefs, and age-specific needs
