Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Surgical Technician Certification required from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in endoscopic procedures before, during, and after.
  • Adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards in patient care.

Skills

Surgical Technician Certification
Knowledge of surgical instrumentation
Knowledge of septic and aseptic technique
Current experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery
Ability to adhere to I.C.A.R.E. standards
Knowledge of care and safe handling of endoscopes
Demonstrate awareness of patient rights

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Job description

Schedule:
Part-Time 30hrs; Day Shift, Monday-Friday; 8 and 10 hour days with variable start times starting at 6:30am-9am

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Surgical Technician Certification required- ARC/STSA - Accredited Surgical Technology Program - NBSTSA - Certification is conferred by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
  • Current experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery setting is required
  • Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
  • Knowledge of septic and aseptic technique and be conscious of both at all times
  • Knowledge of care and safe handling of endoscopes
  • Demonstrate awareness of/sensitivity to patient/family rights and cultural/religious beliefs and age-specific needs
