Your Opportunity

Stantec seeks motivated individuals to champion the continuous growth of our services in the climate change mitigation and climate change resiliency and adaptation markets. The ideal candidate will have an education in the technical and social issues associated with the impacts of greenhouse gases reporting and verification, and climate action planning in the built and natural environment.

As Part Of Our Team, You Will

  • Develop greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories.
  • Provide third-party GHG verification services.
  • Prepare climate action and net-zero plans in support of GHG mitigation for a variety of clients.
  • Participate in and contribute to meetings and workshops with clients, including preparing and carrying out presentations.
  • Translate complex information and concepts to write high-quality reports for our clients and the public.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and reporting frameworks.
  • Collaborate with clients and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Collaborate with other Stantec practitioners from multiple offices around the global organization.

Your Capabilities And Credentials

Our team is looking for professionals with the following capabilities and education :

  • Knowledge of regulations and program requirements for GHG inventory development.
  • Knowledge of verification of GHG inventories and claims of emission reductions.
  • Knowledge of and / or certification in relevant standards (e.g. ISO 14064 : 1 / 2 / 3).
  • Strong quantitative and computer skills with Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Willingness for occasional travel, within Canada or internationally.

  • Education And Experience

  • A Bachelor’s or Engineering degree relevant to the role in atmospheric or environmental science, environmental management, environmental engineering, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of related experience, or relevant post graduate degree in lieu of full work experience.
  • Experience with the quantification of GHG emissions from industrial and community settings, using relevant protocols (e.g. WRI GHG Protocol).

    Pay Range

  • Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 62,000.00 - Max Salary $ 89,900.00
  • Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 65,700.00 - Max Salary $ 95,300.00
  • Pay Transparency : In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

    Benefits Summary : Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) will have access to health, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health care spending account, wellness spending account, group registered retirement savings plan, employee stock purchase program, group tax-free savings account, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term / long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage, and paid time off.
