As a Senior manager quality engineer, you will be reporting to Canadian Manufacturing Quality Director. You will be responsible for Ensures that the quality of products and processes are compliant with internal and regulatory standards and are continuously improving.

As a Senior manager quality engineer, you will also oversee to manage a multifunction Quality team. You will help them to archive our enterprise goals and support them to resolve complexes issue.

This full-time, on-site position is based in Halifax and runs from Monday to Friday with flexible working hours. In case of emergency, the successful candidate may be required to work outside of regular business hours.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Establishes key elements of Quality Management System plans andinitiatives with a direct impact on reducing nonconformities and ensuring quality standards are in effect.
  • Develops and leads implementation of solutions to nonconformities and to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
  • Leads the implementation of new inspection plans, methods, and technologies to assure the reliability and conformance of products and processes.
  • Directs processes to identify and manage risk in product development, utilizing UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Responsibility Statements Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
  • Directs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, develops recommendations for corrective action for producibility issue, processes problems or human factor behavior.
  • Ensures all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management, including Resourcing Gate and Production
  • Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Management, Administration.
  • 10 years of management experience in the field of quality.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Good knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment.

This position is part of a English-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
