What you’ll do / Vos Rôles

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for our Policy Management team. This role drives the evolution of cloud-side software and user interfaces that provide configuration and settings information to the Falcon endpoint agent. You will lead technical strategy and roadmap execution, maintain world-class service quality, and support architectural direction while growing the team in a remote, high-trust environment. You will work cross-functionally with peers in engineering, management, product, and support to ensure product success. Strong communication skills are essential in our remote-first setup.

This section describes the responsibilities :

  • Prioritize work and manage team workload, project resourcing and coordination, including saying “no” or “not yet” when appropriate
  • Keep the team on track and adapt to surprises
  • Participate in code and design reviews, providing technical guidance and feedback
  • Gather and communicate status of team activities
  • Coordinate with other teams from individual contributors to executives
  • Triaging customer and user tickets and building relationships with those teams
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and product management to shape roadmap and technical strategy
  • Balance immediate use cases with longer-term technical strategy
  • Help resolve interpersonal conflicts
  • Coach engineers and guide career growth with regular feedback
  • Hire, interview, and occasionally source candidates

Engineering Managers at CrowdStrike are hands-on technical leaders. You should be able to understand the team’s code and develop deep knowledge of system architecture, data flows, APIs, testing processes and dependencies to analyze work and assist in troubleshooting. Some travel to the United States for in-person meetings is expected 2-3 times per year.

What you’ll need / Ce dont vous aurez besoin

  • Experience as a manager of software development teams, with prior software development experience
  • Strong background in distributed systems development and scaling
  • Experience building and shipping high-quality software in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Solid design and problem-solving skills with a passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication across engineering, product, support and sales engineering
  • Demonstrated mentoring and coaching experience
  • Experience working with remote teams while maintaining agility and velocity
  • Ability to communicate clearly across the organization
  • Experience with microservice development using Golang, Java, C#, or similar technologies
  • Ability to travel 2-3x per year (primarily to the United States)
  • Humor and humility

  • Experience managing configuration automation for large endpoint fleets (e.g., Microsoft Configuration Manager, JAMF Pro, ChromeOS device management)
  • Experience with building, operating, and scaling low-latency internet services
