Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced IT project manager, resource planning leader to oversee and manage the allocation and utilization of resources (personnel) across the Digital Technology organization. This role ensures that the organization has the right resources available at the right time to meet project requirements by working closely with project managers, functional managers and other key stakeholders to forecast resource demand and balance workloads. It’s a critical function that provides senior leadership with reports and data insights to support decision-making related to staffing and project initiation.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Collaborate with project managers, functional leaders, business relationship managers and other stakeholders to forecast needs for projects in the pipeline.
  • Monitor and analyze current resource usage, identify gaps or excess capacity and develop plans to optimize resource allocation to meet project demands.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on resource capacity and utilization to aide senior leadership in talent strategy and prioritization of work.
  • Continuous improvement of processes and tools to enhance resource planning, allocation and tracking.
  • Establish KPIs to measure precision of resource planning and its impact to effective capacity management.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related technical field with 7+ years of work experience.
  • Relevant certifications in project management or resource management.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Microsoft Project or similar tools).
  • Experience in IT project management.

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, daily, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

This position has been designated as ‘onsite’, with regular in person work at our premises.
