Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of projects and programs on time, within budget, and with quality, in accordance with defined standards and scope;
- Lead, define, and coordinate project initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives;
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate comprehensive progress and results reports;
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks;
- Identify and resolve project or program issues swiftly to minimize disruptions;
- Contribute to and validate business case analyses to support effective decision-making;
- Provide detailed recommendations on project initiation, expansion, or closure based on performance, financial targets, and risk assessments;
- Manage financial aspects of projects and programs, ensuring compliance with departmental budgets and evaluating financial impact throughout the project lifecycle;
- Collaborate effectively with Architecture, Finance, Procurement, project teams, and operational units to ensure cohesive project delivery;
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and IT partners to ensure alignment and clear communication for successful delivery;
- Ensure adherence to the PMO methodology throughout the project and program lifecycle;
- Guarantee projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards;
- Follow proper closure procedures, including transition to operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT project management;
- Experience in large enterprise environments;
- Experience managing large programs with multiple project teams;
- PMP certification is a plus;
- Strong understanding of project governance, RAID logs, and structured reporting;
- Ability to adhere to project management frameworks and processes;
- At least 5 years of SAP experience;
- Participation in at least 2 SAP implementations, including S/4HANA;
- Knowledge of SAP security;
- Experience with SAP RISE or Cloud deployment is highly advantageous;
- Strong planning skills with understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies;
- Ability to map technical and security activities within Agile backlogs;
- General understanding of SAP Basis and security;
- Vendor management skills, understanding contractual agreements and aligning project plans accordingly;
- Excellent scope and risk management skills;
- Ability to identify inter-flow dependencies, especially involving Basis and security;
- Facilitate integration across workflows, coordinating with technical and functional teams (e.g., BBD program team, IT, third-party vendors);
- Excellent English communication skills, as the role involves client interactions outside Canada.
