Job description

Job Description:

Do you thrive on leading organizational transformation and cultivating a vibrant company culture in preparation for groundbreaking new ventures, and would you like to progress and develop new skills? Then this job is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for passionate, highly skilled, and challenge-seeking individuals to join our Digital & Business Transformation team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will be at the heart of preparing us for our next chapter, embarking the whole Airbus capabilities including Europe on an ambitious new Aviation Industry adventure.

You will be part of the Digital & Business Transformation team responsible for revolutionizing how we work, optimizing our processes, and harnessing the power of data and innovative technologies to build the foundation for a bold future. Our team's organization specifically cultivates a collaborative culture and an adaptive mindset, empowering us to work autonomously, support each other, and learn collectively to drive successful transformation.

As a transformation project manager, you will be responsible for projects related to our organizations' engagement models and their maturity within the A220 program. Your mission will be to define the framework and oversee aspects of the operational model for the company's activities, particularly with regard to organizational structure, governance, and culture.

These three concepts of structure, governance, and culture make up the “People” pillar of the company's major transformation program called ‘Scale Up’.

‘Scale Up’ program aims to strengthen the company's foundations to support the industrial ramp-up in terms of human & organizational aspects (the “People” pillar), processes, data management, and digital technologies.

Your working environment:

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is headquartered in Mirabel, in the greater Montreal area, where the vibrant city of Montreal is just a stone’s throw away. Known for its peaceful and safe environment, the region offers a high quality of life for younger or experienced professionals and families, perfectly balancing career opportunities and outdoor activities that makes it a truly special place to call home.

How we care for you:

  • Financial rewards: Attractive salary, annual bonus, group insurance plan, pension plan and share purchase plan.
  • Work / Life Balance: A hybrid working policy (based on operational needs), on-site cafeterias and a highly competitive holiday policy.
  • Wellbeing/Health: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Program, on-site Medical Service, access to a public shuttle service between Laval (Montmorency metro station) and Mirabel, and a carpooling application.
  • Individual development: Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to +10,000 e-learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.

Your Challenges:

  • Provide a project-based working structure within the program, in a complex, fast-moving environment with multiple connections across the entire company.
  • Participate in the implementation of certain aspects of the project and contribute to this implementation by taking responsibility for the delivery of certain deliverables.
  • Ensure and develop means of steering the activity and driving the project forward.
  • Support the preparation of reports, the update of performance indicators, and the coordination of cross-functional monitoring of management elements inherent to the program.
  • Given the proximity of the topics concerned (around people and organizational transformation) and the extended team's activity on change management topics, the person must be able to ensure accurate and precise communication to contribute to the change management dynamics of the transformation program in particular;
  • Define the roadmap/plan for each project in the “People” pillar of the transformation program;
  • Oversee the execution of these projects;
  • Ensure the integration of “People” pillar topics (relating to organizational structure, governance, and culture dimensions) into the overall transformation program by actively participating in its governance (reviews, indicators, progress monitoring, presentations, management of interdependencies, etc.);
  • Ensure the right level of stakeholder management (particularly with Human Resources and the business) to ensure that projects remain aligned with the company's activities and that approved actions are carried out;
  • Produce and deliver certain project deliverables yourself;
  • Participate in team dynamics, especially with regard to change management. This is particularly important when communicating widely about the program, which requires special attention.

Your Profile:

  • You have a university degree in a relevant field (administration, finance, project management, or other);
  • You have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry;
  • You have relevant experience in project management and ideally in program management, finance, or organizational management;
  • You have a strong customer focus and demonstrate a great ability to work in a team;
  • You demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills;
  • You are persuasive and comfortable challenging members of management while maintaining a collaborative approach;
  • You are able to thrive in a complex environment and have the ability to apply program management principles;
  • You demonstrate a strong understanding of organizational transformation and change management;
  • You have good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
