As a Customer Project Manager, you will be the main contact for clients, ensuring smooth project delivery and exceptional service. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage remote staff, and oversee projects from start to finish while maintaining strong relationships and adhering to Hitachi Energy standards.

Your impact
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, responding promptly and professionally to their needs.
  • Own and resolve customer issues by coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Provide support outside normal working hours for urgent issues.
  • Lead all aspects of assigned projects, reporting progress to management.
  • Manage remote teams and specialized engineers.
  • Oversee multiple projects, following established processes.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met under challenging conditions.
  • Coordinate with finance, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely payments.
  • Communicate project status proactively and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
Your background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, field service, project engineering, or customer support with proven success.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to respond effectively in emergencies and minimize downtime.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and communication.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles, including risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of taking initiative.
  • Negotiation skills for interactions with clients.
  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Project, Visio, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with FACTS and/or HVDC projects is an advantage.
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of transmission systems like FACTS, HVDC, or high-voltage substations.
