Position: Accounting Manager in Montreal, QC

About You

You are a financial accounting expert with management experience. You possess strong performance management and coaching skills, along with adaptability. You will lead all aspects of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for a significant portfolio, supervising a team of professionals. You will also participate in projects aimed at process and procedure improvements.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring your team executes the month-end close process efficiently and accurately.
• Maintaining an engaged and motivated team.
• Being a trusted member of the Accounting Management team and a resource within the staff.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years in financial accounting, with progressive responsibilities; experience in commercial real estate is preferred.
• At least 3 years managing a team of 3 or more accounting professionals.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Initiative and autonomy.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Practical knowledge of Yardi software.
• Fluency in French (spoken, read, written) is mandatory.

Additional Assets:

• CPA designation and a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience in a public company environment.
