Finance Coordinator and Specialist People & Culture

Territory : East of Quebec and New-Brunswick

Summary of Purpose :

Reporting to the National Sales Director, Nephrology & Rheumatology, the Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for promoting Tavneos (Avacopan), a first-in-class treatment for ANCA-Associated Vasculitis (AAV). The promotion will focus on rheumatologists, internal medicine physicians, hospital pharmacists, and healthcare professionals mainly in CanVasc centers (Canadian network for research on vasculitides).

TAVNEOS is a novel therapy for GPA / MPA that selectively targets C5aR and is indicated for the adjunctive treatment of adult patients with severe active anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibody (ANCA)-Associated Vasculitis.

The KAM will develop and implement a strategic business plan for centers that treat and manage AAV to launch Tavneos, aiming to increase usage among appropriate patients and focusing on referral patterns to specialists. The individual must have a strong key account management approach and the ability to develop innovative solutions to engage customers and drive business within a unique selling context. Building and maintaining superior customer relationships through strategic account management is essential.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and implement a territory plan with specific objectives; conduct promotional programs; represent and promote OCPI as a leader in the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and speakers, including rheumatologists, internal medicine physicians, hospital pharmacists, and healthcare professionals. Manage relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Work cross-functionally with all OCPI associates to ensure coordinated efforts within accounts. Facilitate interactions between OCPI and stakeholders. Collaborate with marketing and medical teams to deliver value-added programs.
  • Plan and organize accredited learning programs to communicate appropriate product information to healthcare professionals. Understand technologies for hybrid education and digital communication post-COVID.
  • Demonstrate strong disease state and product knowledge; develop professional relationships.
  • Comply with IMC Code of Conduct and all OCPI standards and policies.
  • Report safety information, product quality complaints, and customer feedback as per current procedures.

Qualifications and Key Competencies :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences or relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a KAM, especially in internal medicine or rheumatology, is a strong asset.
  • Experience in institutional selling is advantageous.
  • Proven success in key account management and/or specialty sales within pharmaceutical or institutional markets.
  • Experience with hospital pharmacy and nursing staff.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement issues in private and public markets, including programs like “Patient d’exception” in Quebec or the Exceptional Access Program in Ontario.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to support care teams for patient monitoring and follow-up in a tailored care model.
  • Ability to establish and cultivate key customer relationships.
  • Skills in analyzing customer-specific information and data interpretation.
  • Ability to address customer issues, clarify interests, and manage expectations.
  • Strong presentation skills, personal conviction, and credibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to relocate if not already in the region.
  • Travel required up to 35%.
