Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) invites applications for a clinical geriatrics position at Grace Hospital, Rehabilitation Healthy Aging & Seniors Care. The role is in person, full-time, with shift days and a 1.0 FTE.

The successful candidate will bring at least three years of geriatric clinical experience, current Manitoba licensure, and a valid driver’s license. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for this setup.

Position Overview

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of current clinical experience in clinical geriatrics.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Entry-to-practice academic credential in a relevant health care profession from an approved Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated. Relevant health care related Masters degree preferred.
• Must successfully complete individualized self-directed geriatric training provided through the program to each clinician in order to independently complete a comprehensive geriatric assessment.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Current registration/licensure with a Manitoba Health care professional licensing body (CRNM, COTM, CPM).
• Valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
