Job summary

GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel, BC, seeks a dedicated Family Physician with a focus on geriatric care to join our rural medical team. This position offers flexible 0.5 to 1.0 FTE arrangements and opportunities for UPCC, oncology, ER coverage, and OAT clinic work, plus potential training funding.

Qualifications

• Fellowship or Certification in Care of the Elderly or equivalent geriatric experience.
• Current medical license to practise in British Columbia (or eligibility for licensure).
• Experience with seniors and complex older patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and care plans for older adults.
• Coordinate with UPCC, oncology, ER coverage, OAT clinic, and locum opportunities as needed.
• Support transitions and geriatric care planning in a rural community setting.
