Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) seeks a Registered Nurse to provide coordinated, individualized care for residents at Golden Links Lodge. You will use CRNM standards and CNA ethics while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care.

Requires nursing graduation, current CRNM registration in Manitoba, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Experience in medical nursing or gerontology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Certificate in Gerontology an asset.
• Current Clinical Experience In Medical Nursing And/ or Gerontology Preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to function in a computerized environment (including MDS, MS Office, etc.)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Mental/physical health to meet the demands/stresses of the position.
• Ability to foster a positive work environment.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Able to meet the standard of nursing practice outlined in CRNM Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of comprehensive, individualized care to residents.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans with the care team.
• Assess residents, document progress and maintain confidentiality.
• Administer medications following established procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve goals of care.
• Maintain continuity of care via conferences, unit meetings and shift reports.

Education

Graduate of an approved School of Nursing

Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba

Certificate in Gerontology
