Job description

Store - GATINEAU, QC

Lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating a framing solution for their art. Drive custom framing sales. Assist customers in creating a memorable framing solution for their art.

Major Activities

  1. Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
  2. Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
  3. Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to our customers on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager.
  4. Achieve your KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve their role KPIs.
  5. Review sales and production workload, build plans, and allocate sales floor time for networking.
  6. Manage and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
  7. Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
  8. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  9. Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support Talent Development activities; participate in Performance Management activities; utilize leadership competencies for self-development.
  10. Partner with MODs daily on framing expectations and team performance.
  11. Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations; promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values; project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  12. Participate in truck unload and stocking processes to ensure standards are met and tasks are completed within budget.
  13. Follow SOPs and company programs to ensure a safe environment.
  14. Acknowledge customers, assist in locating products, and provide solutions.
  15. Assist with Omni-channel processes.

Other duties as assigned

Minimum experience required

  • Basic computer skills

Preferred experience

  • Previous custom framing experience (preferred)
  • Retail management experience
  • Experience leading a sales team

Physical Requirements

  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Lifting heavy boxes and frames; accessing high shelves using ladders or similar equipment

Work Environment

  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas; some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled; outdoor work may be required for tasks like retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks; frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
