Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking a Site Supervisor and Geotechnical Technician to oversee client sites and perform geotechnical tasks, including soil sampling and field testing. The role requires strong safety practices, report writing, and coordination with multiple offices and clients across Québec and beyond.

The position is temporary, based at client sites, and involves working with drillers and design teams. Fluent French and English are essential for effective collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ongoing bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Advanced level of French and English to collaborate with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
• Strong skills in writing reports
• Available for short- and long-term assignments at client offices or sites

Responsibilities

• Monitor sites.
• Attend site meetings.
• Write daily reports.
• Write and follow up on non-conformity reports.
• Ensure work compliance: Inspect the construction of ditches, dikes and hauling roads.
• Control backfill material quality and compaction.
• Perform basic geotechnical tests.
• Manage drillers and geotechnical survey work.
• Write factual geotechnical reports.
