Job summary

30 Forensic Engineering, a leading forensic firm in Canada, seeks a Practice Lead, Geotechnical to guide the geotechnical team, support investigations, grow client relationships, and drive business development.

Reporting to the Vice President, Materials, the role requires 10–15 years of geotechnical consulting experience, a professional engineering license in Ontario (or eligibility), and proven leadership in a consulting environment. Travel should be anticipated.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 10-15 years of progressive post-degree experience in geotechnical engineering, including significant consulting experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario or eligible for registration.
• Demonstrated senior technical, project management, or practice leadership experience.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Geotechnical practice at 30 Forensic Engineering, including managing a small team and supporting practice growth.
• Provide technical leadership for geotechnical investigations, projects, and assignments.
• Develop and execute a business plan for geotechnical practice aligning with organizational goals.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and pursue business development opportunities.
• Oversee geotechnical project execution within approved scopes, budgets, schedules, and client agreements.
• Mentor and develop geotechnical team members and collaborate cross-functionally.
