Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is looking for a Materials Field Technician to join their Dartmouth team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting materials testing, quality control, and inspections at various sites. Candidates must have effective communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required for travel outside of HRM. The position offers full-time employment with an emphasis on safety and team operations.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills including computer, written, and oral.
• Capacity to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Effective in a fast-paced multifaceted environment.
• Must have access to a vehicle and provide a license abstract.

Responsibilities

• Travel to collect samples from site locations.
• Conduct quality control testing for concrete, soils, and asphalt.
• Inspect and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Complete detailed reports for project management.
• Support health and safety culture and maintain equipment.
