Geotechnical Engineering Technician (Fall Student)

Based in Huntsville, ON, theGeotechnical Engineering Technician will have a wide range of duties while assisting in all aspects of engineering project delivery.

What You’ll Do:

As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:

  • Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery
  • Contribute to preliminary and detailed design and drawing preparation for various geotechnical engineering projects
  • Participate in all aspects of site investigations
  • Perform soil classification, borehole logging, and sampling and borehole generation
  • Complete construction inspection and monitoring activities
  • Assist with geotechnical modeling and data analysis
  • Report and document preparation

What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a relevant field of study (Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Mining Engineering, or Natural Resources). Additionally, you should have:

  • Experience in the use of analytical and design software, including AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of geotechnical analysis and modeling software is an asset, however no experience is necessary
  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence
