Stantec’s Energy and Resources team invites you to join as a 2027 Geotechnical Engineering Co-op Student in Calgary. Start dates are flexible for 4 to 19 months, with mentorship from engineers, geoscientists and specialists on mining, tailings and water-retaining projects.
You will support field and analytical tasks, develop borehole logs, run analyses, and contribute to reports and drawings while learning project delivery and business operations within a multidisciplinary team.
Learning begins in the classroom, but there is no better place to gain real-world experience than with Stantec. Co-op students and interns are integral members of our teams, helping solve complex engineering challenges while developing practical technical and professional skills.
The Stantec Internship Program provides students with valuable hands‑on experience by working alongside experienced engineers, geoscientists, and technical specialists on projects in the mining, water‑retaining infrastructure, and natural resource sectors. The program also offers opportunities to build industry relationships, gain insight into project delivery and business operations, and develop a strong foundation for future career opportunities within Stantec.
