Geotechnical Engineer, Senior - Design Build (Alternative Delivery)

Join us at GHD as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Mississauga or Markham, ON. We are committed to environmental sustainability and fostering a diverse, innovative team working on complex projects across transportation, water, energy, and environmental sectors.

This role involves providing technical direction on multidisciplinary alternate delivery projects, including Design-Build and other models. You will lead medium to large soil-structure interaction projects, contribute to innovative geotechnical solutions, and collaborate across teams and regions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading geotechnical design and analysis for complex infrastructure projects
  • Supervising and mentoring team members in geotechnical modeling software such as PLAXIS, FLAC
  • Managing project schedules, budgets, and client relationships
  • Providing expertise throughout project phases from design to construction

Qualifications:

  • Degree in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering; P.Eng license in Ontario
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, especially in major infrastructure projects and geostructural design
  • Proficiency with advanced soil-structure interaction software
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
