Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer - Project Manager to lead consulting delivery for infrastructure projects in Vancouver and surrounding regions. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality, while mentoring junior staff and serving as the key client interface.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related) with 6 years of related experience.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience delivering geotechnical investigation programs and producing/reviewing reports and recommendations.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering practice in BC.
• Proven ability to manage clients, budgets, and schedules in a consulting environment.
• Demonstrated strength in technical writing, communication, and collaboration.
• Experience delivering local infrastructure projects for municipal and provincial clients.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary day-to-day client contact; lead meetings and manage expectations.
• Support proposal writing, scope development, and client presentations; identify follow-on opportunities.
• Define scope, exclusions, and deliverables; manage change requests and contract amendments.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, resourcing plans, and schedules; support invoicing.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality expectations; champion health & safety in field and office activities.
• Deliver projects on time and on budget with strong technical quality.
• Maintain positive client feedback and repeat work through excellent delivery and communication.
• Mentor teams and identify risks with clear mitigation plans.
