Job summary
Phasor Engineering in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geo-Structural Engineering team. You will support geotechnical and geo-structural activities for energy, transmission, substation, and infrastructure projects, including site investigations, hazard assessments, design calculations, and construction support.
You’ll work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, travel 10–20% to project sites, and contribute to reports, drawings, and specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences required.
- P. Geo is an asset.
- 4–8 years of relevant geotechnical/geological experience.
- Experience with geotechnical investigations for Linear Infrastructure is required.
Responsibilities
- Support geotechnical and geo-structural engineering activities for foundation, retaining wall, and civil infrastructure projects.
- Assist planning and execution of geotechnical investigations, field assessments, and testing programs.
- Perform analyses, calculations, and assessments under senior supervision.
- Prepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in field investigations.
