Job summary

TBT Engineering Limited is seeking a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to a variety of geotechnical projects alongside multidisciplinary teams under the mentorship of experienced Professional Engineers. You will enhance your knowledge in soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and site investigation toward professional licensure in a growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• A civil engineering degree from an accredited Canadian university or equivalent.
• Field experience is an asset; solid understanding of codes, standards, regulations, and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in geotechnical engineering design and analysis, including foundation design and slope stability analysis and interpret geotechnical site investigations, including drilling of boreholes and laboratory testing of soils and rocks.
• Support technical and project management activities through design development, construction review, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare, verify, and finalize technical reports, calculations, and other project deliverables with attention to accuracy and quality standards.
• Conduct fieldwork, including research, site reviews, inspections, testing, and technical investigations to support project design and delivery.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and actively participate in engagement with clients, regulatory agencies, the public, and suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with Professional Engineers to apply engineering principles, develop practical solutions, and advance toward professional licensure.
