Job summary

TBT Engineering Limited is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to diverse projects under mentorship from Professional Engineers in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. You will engage in soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and site investigations while developing toward professional licensure.

Responsibilities include design and analysis, field investigations, report preparation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Canadian university.
• Field experience is an asset; knowledge of codes, standards and regulations.
• Proficiency with engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in geotechnical design and analysis, including foundation design and slope stability analysis and interpret geotechnical site investigations, including drilling of boreholes and laboratory testing of soils and rocks.
• Support technical and project management activities through design development, construction review, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare, verify, and finalize technical reports, calculations, and other project deliverables with attention to accuracy and quality standards.
• Conduct fieldwork, including research, site reviews, inspections, testing, and technical investigations to support project design and delivery.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and actively participate in engagement with clients, regulatory agencies, the public, and suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with Professional Engineers to apply engineering principles, develop practical solutions, and advance toward professional licensure.
