Qualifications

• Degree or post-secondary education in geotechnical, civil or geological engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in proposal preparation
• Co-ordinating subcontractors, laboratory testing, documentation for geotechnical investigations
• Supervising borehole drilling, test pit supervision
• Managing clients and contractors
• Analytical work for slope stability, settlement analysis, soil improvement
• Write geotechnical reports and prepare cost estimates and proposals
• Provide technical services in a field and laboratory environment
• Duties might include site inspections, material testing using nuclear gauge, sampling, data collection and general geotechnical supervision
• Carrying out field and laboratory testing of materials on construction sites and in-situ density testing
