Job summary

Solstice Environmental Management is seeking a GIS and Environmental Data Specialist in Edmonton to manage, analyze, visualize, and communicate environmental data using GIS, surveys, and reporting platforms. This role serves as the primary geospatial resource for project teams.

You will develop high-quality maps, figures, dashboards, and data products that inform environmental decision making, support field data collection programs, and advance Solstice's geospatial capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience using Esri ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Field Maps) in environmental consulting.
• Experience with field data collection tools (Survey123, Field Maps, GPS devices).
• Experience supporting regulatory submissions and technical reporting for environmental projects.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and high-volume work environments.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Solid data management practices with data quality and security.
• Familiarity with environmental data such as monitoring, wetlands, water resources, or contaminated sites datasets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools; project management and organizational skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

• Develop high-quality maps, figures, dashboards, and data products to inform environmental decisions and client deliverables.
• Support field data collection programs and improve data workflows through digital innovations.
• Collaborate with project teams and contribute to the growth of Solstice's geospatial capabilities.
• Mentor or support junior staff in GIS and data management as needed.
