Job summary

The Global GNSS Design team at CNH Industrial, Calgary GNSS office, offers an internship focused on GNSS positioning and correction services. You will work on PPP/RTK solutions, gain hands-on experience with embedded firmware, and develop geodetic algorithms using MATLAB, C++, and Python.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Geomatics Engineering program and eager to contribute to precision technology used worldwide in agriculture and construction.

Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with engineers on PPP and RTK correction services to enhance accuracy and reliability.
• Supporting the development of embedded GNSS receiver firmware.
• Designing and testing geodetic transform algorithms using MATLAB, C++, and Python.
• Conducting validation and verification testing using global GNSS datasets.
• Analyzing data to support improvements in precision, robustness, and performance of GNSS-based systems.

Intern Program Overview

Job Purpose

The Global GNSS Design team, based out of CNH’s Calgary GNSS office, develops advanced positioning and correction services that power precision technology solutions worldwide. By focusing on high-accuracy techniques like PPP (Precise Point Positioning) and RTK (Real‑Time Kinematic), the team ensures that CNH products deliver reliable and precise navigation and positioning capabilities in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

• Collaborating with engineers on PPP and RTK correction services to enhance accuracy and reliability
• Supporting the development of embedded GNSS receiver firmware
• Designing and testing geodetic transform algorithms using MATLAB, C++, and Python
• Conducting validation and verification testing using global GNSS datasets

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering or a related field.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is CA$22.66 - CA$38.11 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
