Job Overview

An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Redbridge is seeking a Geography Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time and permanent position.

School Environment

The Humanities Department, led by a dedicated Head of Department, has grown significantly, now including a mix of experienced, young, and Teach First teachers, supported by graduate Teaching Assistants. The school boasts excellent Progress 8 results and fosters a fun, creative learning environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Inspire and motivate students in Geography
• Collaborate with Humanities team
• Opportunities for TLR roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and Pastoral responsibilities
• For ECTs: bespoke induction, mentorship, and training programs

Candidate Requirements

• UK QTS or in the process of gaining it
• Strong academic background (Degree, A Levels, GCSEs)
• Meet the 8 Teaching Standards at 'Good' or 'Outstanding'
• Ability to work well within a team of Humanities teachers
• Willingness to receive feedback
