Job summary

Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. (KCB) is seeking an Intermediate Geochemist to support our mining and environmental consulting services from our EMIE Group in Calgary or Edmonton.

You will conduct geochemical analyses, develop models, and collaborate with engineers and scientists to deliver high-quality projects. The role involves field work and travel within Canada and internationally, with hybrid home-office flexibility and opportunities for professional registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, or Environmental Geoscience with Geochemistry focus.
• Minimum four years’ experience in geochemical analysis.
• Professional registration (e.g., P.Geo., P.Eng.).
• Valid driver’s license, Class 5.
• Experience with geochemical modeling software and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geochemical analyses of soil, rock, and water samples to assess environmental impact.
• Develop and implement geochemical models to predict long-term trends and mitigation effects.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, and environmental scientists on monitoring programs.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and regulatory submissions for clients and authorities.
• Stay current with industry developments and best practices in geochemistry.
• Work with junior staff and provide guidance.
• Complete field work and business travel within Canada and internationally as needed.
