The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic provides outpatient services to a diverse women's health population, including Maternal Fetal Medicine and Prenatal Diagnosis teams. These specialists offer tertiary obstetric care, prenatal screening, diagnostic testing, and genetic counseling, emphasizing a family-centered approach.

The Genetic Counselor will be part of the multidisciplinary Prenatal Diagnosis team, providing assessments and counseling to women or couples with genetic concerns, abnormal ultrasound findings, or positive screening results.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, days. This position is a job share.

Qualifications include:

  1. Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling
  2. Certification or eligibility for certification by CACG or ABGC
  3. Expertise in patient assessment and genetic counseling for pregnant women and families
  4. Experience in managing perinatal bereavement
  5. Knowledge of prenatal screening/testing and emerging technologies
  6. Experience in resource development for clients and professionals
  7. Ability to work independently and in team settings
  8. Community partnership development skills
  9. Familiarity with genetic electronic databases and resources
  10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  11. Excellent critical thinking, organization, and time management skills
