Job description

Join our team as a Generator Service Technician with NW Heating & Air in Bremerton, WA! We are a locally owned team that serves the surrounding community with electrical, standby generator, and HVAC services. Having been in business 30 years, we have built a reputation for the highest quality work and develop trusting relationships with our customers.

What you'll do:
  1. Work independently with residential and commercial standby generators.
  2. Manage product inventory and tools needed for service, maintenance, and repairs.
  3. Drive a company vehicle to local job sites, typically conducting 5-8 service calls per day.
  4. Service and repair generators: change air filters, change oil, check battery levels, check spark plugs, etc.
  5. Perform on-site planned services, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting for customers' generators (including DC & AC voltage equipment).
  6. Provide regular updates and recommendations to homeowners.
What you'll bring:
  1. 2+ years of experience with engine repairs, HVAC systems, or generators.
  2. Mechanical proficiency with internal combustion engines, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
  3. Knowledge of generator services, regulations, electrical systems, and transfer switches.
  4. Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and service manuals.
  5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and work outside.
  6. A valid driver's license.
