Job summary

WolfTrek Corp near Cranbrook, BC is seeking an experienced General Warehouse Worker for a 4-month contract. You will work with the shipping, production and yard teams to receive, store, and ship finished products safely and on schedule.

The role requires forklift operation, strong inventory control, and basic computer skills. You will perform cycle counts, track shipments, and communicate clearly to keep shipments moving.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a heavy industrial warehouse.
• Forklift experience; certification a plus.
• Proficient with inventory or shipping software.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to troubleshoot issues.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move lumber packages and materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Unload and load product and supplies.
• Load trucks and rail cars accurately and secure loads for safe transport.
• Track inventory, complete cycle counts, and keep records.
• Band, wrap, and tag lumber packages to product and customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot day to day issues in the warehouse and keep work moving without waiting to be asked.
• Be able to clearly communicate with coworkers, drivers, production, and the shipping office to keep shipments on schedule.
• Clean and organize warehouse and yard.
• Be organized, and safe, and follow all site safety procedures.

ABOUT THE ROLE

WolfTrek Corp is hiring an experienced Warehouse Worker for contract position with one of our clients located near Cranbrook, British Columbia. This is a hands-on role for a reliable, organized person who knows their way around a warehouse, inventory control, and takes pride in keeping product moving and inventory accurate. You will work alongside the shipping, production, and yard teams to receive, store, and ship finished products safely and on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move lumber packages and materials throughout the warehouse and yard.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven warehouse experience in a heavy industrial setting.
• Forklift operating experience. A valid forklift certification is an asset.
• Solid computer skills and comfortable working in inventory or shipping software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A strong work ethic and a dependable, reliable track record.
• A self starter who takes initiative and can troubleshoot problems as they come up.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, physical environment.

Wage $40.00 per hour

Schedule: 4 month temporary position - 4 day schedule working 10 hour shifts.
