Job Description

The General Utility Worker II serves a variety of essential back of the house and front of house Food & Beverage (F&B) roles. The F&B General Utility Worker II is required to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and to gain extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
  2. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including pot/dish wash and deep clean duties.
  3. Attend in-house training sessions.
  4. Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform according to company regulations.
  5. Present an image conducive to good customer relations.
  6. Comply with and promote the company's health and safety policies.
  7. Assist in the promotion and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  8. Service of food and/or beverages to customers according to Campbell Catering standards.
  9. Ensure adherence to all food hygiene regulations.
  10. Assist chefs with checking in food deliveries, ensuring only high-quality produce is accepted.
  11. Ensure food storage complies with hygiene regulations and stock rotation is followed.
  12. Perform cleaning duties related to service and equipment.
  13. Prepare service areas and service points.
  14. Store food items and equipment accurately after service.

Qualifications

  1. Previous food preparation experience preferred.
  2. Knowledge of various food prep methods, accurate knife handling, and food safety regulations preferred.
  3. Ability to acquire food safety certification.

This role may involve physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or PPE may be required.

  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
