The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced General Superintendent to oversee all project operations in the Saskatchewan region working out of our Regina, SK office. The Ideal candidate has 10+ years of foundation and/or heavy construction supervisory experience with in-depth knowledge of active foundation piling and temporary shoring. This role reports in the General Manager, SK.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all active foundation piling and temporary shoring projects in Saskatchewan.
- Prioritize, champion, and enforce safety by ensuring daily toolbox talks and FLHAs are completed accurately and consistently to Company standards.
- Monitor job sites to confirm work is being performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company quality and safety standards.
- Attend pre-tender meetings, project start-ups, and site walkthroughs to ensure proper planning and execution.
- Ensure equipment fleet is maintained and repaired as per manufacturer specifications in a timely manner that does not negatively impact project schedules.
- Coordinate and allocate manpower and equipment with periodic collaboration with operations teams in other regions.
- Mentor and guide field staff; support their growth and adherence to safety and performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with Company safety protocols and regional Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations.
- Participate in employee performance reviews and support decisions related to wage adjustments.
- Manage staff holiday scheduling and field crew logistics.
- Contribute production insights, risk, and tooling knowledge during project estimating phases.
- Provide constructive feedback to project managers on site issues and support the resolution of unforeseen challenges.
- Track project timelines, schedules, and budgets to help keep projects on course.
- Forecast manpower requirements for upcoming projects.
- Responsible for the hiring and termination of project specific employees
- Responsible for evaluating performance, conflict resolution, disciplinary action and providing feedback
- Represent the company at project meetings and during client-facing interactions.
- Occasionally work evenings and weekends, depending on project demands.
Education/Qualifications/Training:
- Minimum 10 years of foundation and/or heavy construction supervisory experience required.
- Experience with CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) and CIP (Cast in Place) drilling, micro piles, shoring walls, lagging, anchors, shotcrete, horizontal and vertical drilling required.
- Trade ticket would be considered an asset.
- Fluent in English, oral and written.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
- Sound understanding of construction safety regulations and practices.
- Capable of hands-on site work when required, including use of manual tools and job site inspection.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
- Proficient with digital tools including smartphones, tablets, and computers.
- Clean driving history with submittal of driver’s abstract is required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Suite of products required (Outlook, OneDrive, Excel, Word, Power Point, Calendar).
Specific Training Requirements:
- Leadership for Safety Excellence is preferred.
- Class 5 driver’s license required. Class 1 or 3 preferred with airbrakes.
- Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT) required.
- WHMIS 2015 required.
- Ground Disturbance Level II required.
- Fall protection is preferred.
- Confined space monitoring & entry is an asset.
- Occupational health and safety committee training is an asset.
- Aerial work platform is an asset
- Hazard recognition and mitigation experience required.
- Material handling experience required.
- Welding safety experience required.
- Personal protective equipment experience required.
- Mobile equipment experience required.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent driving and walking on uneven terrain for job site evaluations.
- Climbing in and out of equipment to perform inspections as per company policy.
- Regular exposure to changing weather conditions and temperatures.
- Occasional extended periods of sitting or driving; exposure to equipment vibration.
- High usage of phone and computer for communication and documentation.
- Completion of detailed work order and project-related forms.
