Summary

The General Repair Technician III operates and maintains facility systems, including mechanical and other supporting systems, performing inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role collaborates across departments to support building operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Safety Ownership and Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and fire protection standards.
  • Own safety measures related to building equipment.
Technical Leadership
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance to meet uptime and asset integrity goals.
  • Respond to service requests and participate in projects.
  • Monitor and optimize building equipment for peak performance.
Site Presence and Inspection Management
  • Establish a technical presence and build relationships on-site.
  • Perform inspections, document findings, and maintain checklists.
Occupant Experience and Communication
  • Enhance tenant satisfaction by ensuring reliable equipment operation.
  • Communicate effectively with teams and vendors, including on-call duties.
Work Order & Financial Management
  • Manage work orders and maintain records.
  • Assist with budget management and quote evaluation.
Vendor Management
  • Oversee vendors and ensure high standards.
Knowledge & Skills
  • High school diploma and trades certification/licensing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in HVAC or related systems.
  • Knowledge of facility operations, BAS, and safety practices.
  • Effective communication and mentoring skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, on-call, and obtain security clearance.
Licenses & Accreditation
  • Building Operator Certification or equivalent required.
